Lego Brick Camera Mount: Any Use?

March 12, 2008 - 3:07 AM : Related Entries - Cameras | Toys

lego_brick_camera.jpg Sorry for the catchy title Lego fans. The camera mount isn't actually made of Lego blocks that you can break apart and rejoin, but it simply has a coat that resembles Lego blocks. This is for those who just love the idea of having everything ‘Legofied’. This is the work of the idle hands of one Mr. Matthew Davidson. Lego has won the hearts of millions of people from time immemorial. Gizmodude has covered cufflinks, tables and even iPod accessories that are built on the theme and block structure of Lego. It was built to bring together the Bogen 3157N’s base-plate to meet a Lego 32532 6x8 Technic Brick. The procedure, if homemade, would really be a fascinating experience.

iBird Remote Controlled Bird

March 6, 2008 - 9:07 AM : Related Entries - Toys

ibird1.jpg If you remember the silly futuristic creatures that crawled, flew and walked around our screens some years ago. All the credit went to the Japanese for their futuristic view of life. Well, one of these creatures has flown right out of the animation studio and made its way to our toy stores. The iBird is an RC controlled bird that looks metallic and flies like a real one. The birds can be controlled by the same remote as the Picoo Zs. Well, I feel that these would make great prank toys for the summer. Picking one of these up for the mere fun of flying isn't a waste either.

December 4, 2007 - 6:44 AM : Related Entries - Freak/Futuristic/Fun | Lights/Illuminant | Toys

animated-golf-lamp.jpg You know you love a sport when you carry it with you, in you. The best examples are the crazy hairstyling that soccerheads get into just before a major match. There aren't just a handful of people who sleep without taking their basketball jerseys off. Well, if you're a golf fan, it is understood that you aren't all that extreme. How about this lovely lamp to go with an evening of golf? Place it on your bar and get the feel of a Royal Stag (loads of pun intended). I'm not saying that golfys are boring people. The lamp is cool in its own way. The figure on it simulates the hitting of the putt and it rolls graciously into the hole. And behold, a mild cheer for a few recorded fan voices will leave you feeling complete.

remote controlled pirate ship.jpg When toys get serious, they manage to charm us beyond the items they depict. The fact that most of such toys are made keeping in mind that the items they remind us are either non existent or too expensive. Besides looking like a real pirate ship it also comes with a cannon that actually works and is well illuminated. The range of working is a good 75 feet. A button to control the sound is another feature of the ship that fascinated me.
