Palette Digital Artist Handheld PC

April 1, 2008 - 4:45 AM : Related Entries - Freak/Futuristic/Fun

palette_digital-artist_1.jpg We had a time in the history of art when artists would use natural color and natural palettes. The advent of plastic changed things a bit by introduced well structured palettes. For the artist of tomorrow, stained fingers will merely be something non existent. This one's in contention for the Microsoft NextGen PC Design Competition. The concept is designed in such a manner that the system is wireless. Using the futuristic paintbrush that comes with this one, you can add a new touch of color to your images by using the available colors that are placed around the futuristic palette.

Post Death Contributions To Nature

March 10, 2008 - 8:40 AM : Related Entries - Freak/Futuristic/Fun | Other Stuff

ecopod.jpg This is one of those means to reduce pollution and spread a few smirks as well. Being buried in a pod is something that most insects would not think of. However, if the pod is going to ensure that after death your remains will not contribute to pollution, then it's worth a thought. Instead of beating around the bush, let's get to the point. The Ecopod coffins are made of recycled paper that's hardened so that it can hold your cadaver for less than eternity. I wonder if that can win you some brownie points at the pearly gates for saving nature.

Spongebob "Arse" Pants!

March 10, 2008 - 8:17 AM : Related Entries - Freak/Futuristic/Fun

thermometer_1.jpg Spongebob isn't going to be too pleased with this new invention. Neither is Patrick going to laugh about it. So the makers can expect the chaotic duo to land up at their HQs with another dim witted thought of revenge. After all the cool speakers and docks that were shaped like the most loved citizen of Bikini Bottom, we have a rectal thermometer that follows suit. I can understand that the doctor's consolation to a young patient may go like "don't worry kid, this is as soft as Spongebob. He surely will not hurt you." It is embarrassing to a high degree to the little yellow fellow but then it doesn't really matter as long as the trick works for the doctor. I can only imagine how petrified the kid will be every time he sees the harmless sponge on TV.

Asus Ecobook Saves Nature By Using Some Of It

March 6, 2008 - 9:13 AM : Related Entries - Computers & Accesories | Freak/Futuristic/Fun

Asus_wooden_Ecobook_1.jpg Saving natural resources doesn't necessarily mean saving bamboo trees. It is mainly saving the environment by using your gizmos wisely and using minimal power. It is the same case with the new Ecobook by Asus. I have no idea how many bamboo shoots were felled for the making of a single Ecobook. But then who cares as long as you have something that has a luscious 15.4 inches of viewing area on a screen that's framed by a wooden frame. There's a little debate about what processor it uses. I'm merely excited at the thought of a future in which we will see Panda's gnawing at laptops rather than unprocessed and rough bamboo shoots.

March 4, 2008 - 2:20 AM : Related Entries - Freak/Futuristic/Fun | Gaming

card_shuffler_1.jpg Butter fingers and card games never go well together. Here's some cure for the slimy handed folks. You can get your cards mechanically shuffled rather than take a chance of messing up your reputation by fumbling over the deck as you attempt to shuffle it. The shuffling is automated and safe enough to ensure that your beloved cards are not in any danger of wear and tear. All you have to do is place the decks into an entry chute and get your cards shuffled. All it takes is the press of a button to make sure that your cards are fairly shuffled and that there is not a chance of any cheating or manipulation in this scenario either.

calculator.jpg You can imagine what life would be without those people who entertain us with their sheer vanity. We wouldn’t have as many actors, models and politicians! Well this gadget isn't at such a high level of vain behavior. It is basically something to start off with early to prove that you are larger than life. Getting down to business, we have this simple calculator that’s shaped like a clamshell cellphone. It’s got all the simplicity in looks that you could dread and a mirror to boost your fake appearance. There aren’t too many specs that deserve to be on this space since it is just a dumb calculator at the end of the day.

Light Sensitive Sound Box: For Annoyance Only

March 1, 2008 - 6:47 AM : Related Entries - Freak/Futuristic/Fun

sound_box.jpg It’s been a while since we featured a prank gadget. The Light Sensitive Sound Box is the best way we could make a comeback to this segment. It comes with two different sound recordings. Once of a dog barking and the other of a tap dripping. Place the box in any place that will not cause it to raise suspicion. The moment the lights in the room are turned off, the boxes will start with the usual hue and cry that it is made to create. I would like this in my pesky uncle’s room. The guy just cannot stop ranting about the harmless band practices that we have in his basement. He wants peace and quiet? Here! Let him have it!

nokia_morph.jpg Nokia have thrown in a concept phone that can make you wonder how it would feel rather than how it would function or may be what it has to offer. The phone is completely flexible and can be folded, bent or even rolled. The phone will be partially transparent (can’t really call that translucent) and so will the inside machinery. It can be rolled into a bracelet or an amulet if you may. There’s no end to the imagination’s eye as to what you can do with something that’s so easy to handle and is still a phone!

Amazing_Staircase_1.jpg This can leave any bookoholic drooling for days on end. The apartment owned by a certain Veronika and Sabastian in London has a unique interior décor. There's a crazy staircase that's made of shelves of books. You can have space saving strategies from some smart minds all the time but this is simply fabulous. All the credit goes to the designers at Levitate Architects. The idea is ingenious and can make a bookworm – who finds no place worthy to keep his prized collection – go head on heels to pick one of these designs.

Sandwich_Phone.jpg Cellphones, like cigarette lighters and booze dispensers, are taking all kinds of shapes and sizes these days. For the die-hard foodies, here's something more satiable than usual. The Sandwich Phone looks as real as a sandwich shaped phone could look. However, this isn't into full scale retail. It is a part of a campaign that helps customize phones. Well, the guys should have worked on a wireless concept rather than the blue wired one that gives the phone's secret away.

All you have to do is plug this little signal into your USB port and can be controlled to display either red or green lights. This can be used as a good parameter to consider for those who are unaware of the level of how busy you are. This also facilitates you with a ten second recording of sound files. This can be used to store some important information that you would like to save discretely or as a reminder.

Saddam and Satan Unite Outside Southpark

February 14, 2008 - 4:53 AM : Related Entries - Freak/Futuristic/Fun

Talking_Bobble_Heads.jpg Bigger, Longer and Uncut was a good name for a movie but the exploits of the makers to project Saddam Hussain and Satan as a very jolly gay couple is something I still cannot get over. However, to add to the agony of the dark lord, we have these very real talking figures of the couple. Each of them confesses the love for the other. What else could you expect from talking figures that are themed around South Park? The 7-inch dolls (is that what I should be calling them?) look as real as the animated figures did in the movie.
