The wait for the 3G iPhone is finally over. Those who thought of it to be just another rumor have a reason to believe Steve Jobs now. The 3G browsing has made the phone's browsing experience worth a shot. To prove this point Steve showed a demonstration in which the National Geographic homepage loaded in just 5 seconds while the same page took 18 seconds on the original iPhone. It has improvements in battery life and GPS, since it uses A-GPS. The new phone is also lighter than the previous rendition and also a bit thicker. There's also an iPhone App Store for iPhone owners to look forward to.

Motorola have stepped on the accelerator and are driving in a new breed of Mobile TVs. It is called the DH02. One can clearly see the lineage of this one in the DH01. It however has incorporated a GPS receiver with Tele Atlas maps. It provides with HSDPA and GPRS back-channel for interactive media and has a new "auto-flip" portrait to landscape mode. The WQVGA display is something that the makers are proud of and gloriously declare it to be a high resolution display. The system also has a PVR and Bluetooth support. Video playback is at 30 fps and the videos can be viewed at 480 x 272 pixels.

One can make a lot of what a phone is capable of by simply knowing who made it. Well, when I say Palm, you may well have guessed what the Centro beholds. The screen is a typical Asus wonder, measuring 2.43 inches; it supports resolutions of up to 320x320. Now that's a perfect square for a change. At last we have a phone that can make life easier for those who have visual limitations and also for those who cannot read. The concept is pretty simple. Nokia have thrown in a concept phone that can make you wonder how it would feel rather than how it would function or may be what it has to offer. The phone is completely flexible and can be folded, bent or even rolled. The phone will be partially transparent (can’t really call that translucent) and so will the inside machinery. The Palm Centro is a typical offering from the smart phone makers. It comes equipped with a quad band GSM and EDGE connectivity. The Centro is available in Glacier White color (that looks stained with the green color given to the numeric keys. There soon shall be an Obsidian Black color making it to our shelves. Sprint may feel the pinch of loosing familiar ground in case of the Palm affair that it has been carrying out for quite a while.
