ge-profile-frontload-2.jpg Who said that you can’t combine the terms, sleek and washer-cum-dryer? GE just did otherwise and that too with the brilliance of technology. In addition to the good looks, the washers provide interesting features like front load of clothes, stain treatment mechanisms that can be pre-programmed, some rather sophisticated controls and a cool new feature that’s called a pedestal. This is however an optional feature and it is hidden deep inside the player. The pedestal offers an insane storage capacity for six months worth of detergent and fabric softener. These are dispensed as and when required in the appropriate quantities.

As a result the growing stubble doesn’t really catch their eyes since taking a look in the mirror is an odd activity in their day to day life. If you are one of the kind (or if you know someone who is of ‘the kind’) then don’t miss out on gifting this to them. It is an USB Shaver that can be charged and recharged as many times as would be required. The outer layer is made of an ultra thin foil while the innards contain a built in NiMH rechargeable battery.

Philips’ F1 AT&T Shaver costs $155!

August 19, 2008 - 10:58 AM : Related Entries - Appliances

philips_shaver.jpg Philips has stepped up the gear with this sexy shaver that will keep your face smoother than a racetrack (gross comparison, I know). You have all that you ever wanted in a shaver plus the sexy Formula 1 theme that goes with it. If you are a Nico Rosberg then there’s an added treat for you. A noticeable number 7 is printed just below the start button. It is waterproof and can be used while in the shower as well! Isn't that time saving? That’s what I call the true spirit of F1 enthusiasts. They rush at everything they do and still don’t make a mess of it. (Though, the mess here is completely in your hands). Philips has built this one with some backing from the Williams design team and hence the shaver is christened as the AT&T Williams Shaver HQ 7390. It’s available for ‘just’ $155.

The Veltia Hand Dryer looks a lot like a trouser pressing device. Of course it is way smaller in size and looks a lot savvier. It can dry your hands up in a matter of 10-15 seconds. This sure has some quick steam puffing out of it when you need it the most. The good old hand-in-the-pocket trick seems to have been substituted at last. And what’s more is that it’s also a health conscious gizmo since it doesn’t cause a heated environment to be created. This keeps away the possible infestation of bacteria on your precious hands.

One Click Butter Cutter: Devoid of Crumbs in My Butter

July 7, 2007 - 3:24 AM : Related Entries - Appliances

one-click-butter-cutter-use.jpg
Here’s an interesting means of getting your butter on your toast without enduring some howling curses from your mum owing to the fact that you left half your toast… in the butter. The One Click Butter Cutter is pretty handy as it makes the mess negligible. Simply load the butter into the cutter (this may seem really hard to some of those who handle the device for the first time). Once loaded, you can simply ‘click’ it to have a neatly sliced piece of butter ejected from it. It also serves as a good storage container for your butter and is dishwater friendly too. The butter cutter is designed for the Elgin-shape 1/4 pound butter stick.
