KISS Plasma Light Sculpted Head: Brrr… it's Gene again!

June 28, 2008 - 4:12 AM : Related Entries - Freak/Futuristic/Fun

kiss_plasma_light1.jpg Besides the 12 inch tongue, blood-stained-axe-shaped bass guitar and bat-wing costume, Gene Simmons is also knows for his fantastic marketing talents. He endorses everything that's got KISS on it. This light is testimony to what I claim. It's the head of the prolific bassist with that ever famous tongue sticking out. Just that this time it isn't blood red or dripping with blood or anything of the sort. It's just full of LEDs and fiber optics that give it the glow. Now you can use it to scare away the kids from your draw or to pay respects to the legendary, blood spitting bassy, If you think that it is worth the $60 price tag that's attached to it then make sure you get one soon. Not many copies of Gene-endorsed goods remain.

Boyd Ashford Turtle pocket knife

June 28, 2008 - 3:36 AM : Related Entries - Other Stuff

pocket_knife.jpg This cool pocket knife is different in both style and idea. It looks a little uncomfortable to use but is perfectly useful and easy to use. It weight 1.3 ounces and measures a minimum of two inches when folded. It is shaped like a turtle that’s thrown on its back and is wriggling for the love of its life. It is made of metal but also has a turtle-shell-like touch on it as well. It is designed by designer Boyd Ashworth. Handy, stylish and odd in its own little way, this pocket knife can get the job done when you need it the most (if you know what I mean). The Boyd Ashford Turtle pocket knife costs just $40. Isn't that a cheap price for a concept?

So to make it a little less brutal for your good old accessory, try and put in a few bucks for this cool tie that also holds gadgets. It makes you feel a little better about wearing a tie even if you are against the concept of wearing one to work everyday. June 17, 2008 - 4:57 AM : Related Entries - Drinkware | Freak/Futuristic/Fun

heineken_jacuzzi.jpg There you go again. All this while I hide myself from the foam and bitter pleasure of beer and now this Jacuzzi makes me want some more all of a sudden. With no care for hygiene or a pretty, sleek or sexy design, the folk who designed this bathing arena surely had just one thing in mind – beer. The "crates" that are used as the walls of the Jacuzzi give you the feeling that you experience once you have a few liters of the beloved beverage gushed down your system. There's Heineken all over the place. If you are the real world copy of Homer Simpson then there isn't much to keep you away from all this.

Car navigation system through a Robot Teddy bear

June 9, 2008 - 4:14 AM : Related Entries - Wheels

robot_teddy.jpg We’ve posted about the Teddy spycam before, this time Teddy features in the form of a Talking Car navigation system developed by engineers at the iXs Research Corporation. Standing 30 centimeters (1 Ft) tall the Teddy Robot uses the 6 joints in the arms and neck to make gestures while providing spoken directions. You can’t take the Teddy for a toy, as it has an alcohol detection sensor embedded in its neck, so if he smells booze, he’d interrogate “ You haven’t been drinking, have you?” When his other sensors detect reckless driving, he’d say, “Watch out” When you stroke his head, he provides you with extra information about nearby landmarks. The Robot Teddy could give you company on a lonesome drive or grill the **** out of you at times, but it certainly forms an interesting component of your car.
