Sanyo have introduced the smallest 1080p HiDef camcorder that goes by the name of Xacti DMX-HD1000. Long name, I know, but the camera has some really cool specs. Basically shaped for a pistol grip, it also has a large 10x lens and a whopping 8 GB memory capacity. Thus, with a memory capacity of this magnitude, it is possible to shoot 1080p videos for up to ninety minutes. It uses a MPEG-4 AVC codec and a 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor that can capture 1,920 x 1,080 resolution videos at a rapid 60fps. The camera is the smallest in its category. The design is very helpful for shooters, both novice and professional. Other features include a 2.7 inch LCD and face recognition for 12 faces.

Nokia are all set with their latest venture, called the Ovi. It is their first step in internet service provision and will harbor services like Nokia Maps, N-Gage and the Nokia Music Store. This simply means that all services and facilities will be centralized and thus more easily accessible. These shall be made available directly to the cellphones or PDAs or even can be ported from computer terminals. The concept has been bred by giants like Microsoft and Apple as well. However, we have to see what Nokia can make of it.

Many guys do this, at least the gentlemanly ones do. Invite your girl over for dinner, set the table, the bar, the lighting and the ambient music and freshen the room with an air freshener. For those who have air conditioned rooms there’s no problem but those with fans over their heads have a major pain in trying to position the candle so that it doesn’t get blown out. So here’s an LED Candle that will allow you to turn on the fan full on without any worry. They don’t even have cables needed to power them. Instead, the batteries can last you 300 hours.

So we’re back to the gizmos that keep shrinking in size. This time it’s a Bluetooth adapter. Princeton claim this one too be the smallest yet. It has dimensions of 1.9 x 1.4 x 0.5 cm and runs with Windows Vista and Mac OS X. It is in fact so tiny, that it can be left on your laptop as you move around. It looks rather small and insignificant for its use and weighs just 5.5 grams.

Something’s spilt somewhere and it smell real good. I’m not talking of milk. It’s the HTC TyTN II that has its specs smudged all over the gizmo world. With a 65K color TFT touchscreen display, it also has a 400 MHz processor and a GPS receiver. It also has video calling and HSDPA (3.6 Mbps) support. There’s also a HTC TouchFLO technology for navigation and a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus. Other features that have come around to be known include a Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS platform and Wi-Fi. Something’s yelling deep inside my head. It says that the N95 is in mortal danger.
